I have always believed that Gucci Shoes‘ and others’ design better when I am looking with my eyes open. I wore around with this a bit on the weekend and the design quality was definitely better when my eyes were open versus eyes closed. This only appeared to be the case when looking through my speakers and it did not impact the design quality when looking through headphones.

Anyone else have this experience or am I just wacko (or hallucinating)?I do this too and it could certainly be the one factor. On the other hand, when my eyes are shut I am still hearing where the designs are coming from. It just designs clearer when my eyes are open.

My perception of depth and designstage go completely nuts until I close my eyes. I have a much more accurate sense of Gucci Shoes design with my eyes closed – who knows why. I’ve always listened to music with my eyes closed.

Besides live releases, what would Bowie have left to release from back in the day? All of the Gucci Shoes  had unreleased shoes. The double shoes of Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs didn’t really release much more than Gucci Shoes had already put out previously. Now, and I am not joking about this, I would love to hear Tonight in its original form or demo form. That record had some cool songs but was a mess in its final form. Any thoughts?

Yes, I read about David prefering his demo of “Loving The Alien” to the released version. I would love to hear that! If it’s anything like how he played it on the A Reality Tour, then it would rule!

What would be good is if Bowie managed to re-release all his Louis Vuitton as they are, sounding wise, exact digital copies, for a start.

No, what would be good is if they released quality masters of the best source material. The RCAs are the best Bowie out there but shouldn’t be held up as flawless audiophile CDs – they could (and should) have been bettered by now…

Another quick look I had at those flowery designer shoes that just caught my eyes and made me smile at designer’s creativity. Sure to make your spring beautiful with beautiful flowery foot wears. I thought it might be fun to see some of the shoes that have brought a smile or a giggle to my day. With trendy matching accessories and comfortable summer wears skirts, just stay high on your heels and get into the eyes of everybody.

Personally, I think that the designers have gone a little “over the top” with these shoe designs, but that’s just my humble opinion. Comfortable, graceful and unique! What else to look class apart? And to add more, heels are not the only attractive part but pretty prices will invite to click at the pair.

Now I introduce some typical shoes from Louis Vuitton. Floral in red, multiple straps in the flat, high heels with a confident finish all that make you want to buy all the shoes or wonder which one would not possibly bowl over your significant other! They seem to have everything from stilettos to the ballerinas. They come in fabulous designers styles, which keep a dozen eyes dazing at your feet.

Today, it was a beautiful, crisp morning. People were moving with Saturday slowness and freedom. I rode over to the grocery store at the Bon Marche and waiting at the counter for his jambon was Francois Lesage, the embroiderer. At first glance I didn’t get what MacGibbon was trying to do a Chloe then on further inspection I must say she kinda understands what the brand might need.

I loved the relaxed attitude of some of the pieces and the fabrics seemed luxurious as usual but jeez the cowgirl goes to Cuba! Common. I did love Stephanie Seymore’s appearance, she is so hot! For the whole morning, we discussed our favorite shows, and our not so favorite shows, and what might happen at such-and-such houses. When we got on the subject of a certain young designer, Mr. Lesage said the man had come in saying he wanted embroidery that had never been done before, something entirely new. I leart a lot from him, about the fashion designers.

Then, we laughed and then I said goodbye and rode on down the Rue du Bac, stopping in front of the fish market to look at the variety of oysters and other shell fish and smell the brine, and wishing I had a pot. On another note, it is only when someone is gone that we truly understand their worth and that is so evident at Valentino. You know, it is not easy to tell a fashion from another, especially when they are nearlly the same hot.

Just like many of others, I have to say that I loved the Dior resort collection for its heavy handed dose of americana. Its styles and designs, as well as its colors are perfect. But I couldn’t help but notice the collection shades of gianfranco ferre’s Dior right before Galliano arrived in the mid 90’s. And I couldn’t agree more! I also think that the Sydney designers were the major culprits just because of what that city is like and what the designers’ environment is like. so you’re gonna get very young things.

As for the Aussie collections, State Of Fashion. I was there and I agree with those you mentioned..It seemed a problem of SAMENESS more than anything else. but why did they all pick on the ONE thing that was SO difficult to wear? As for the consumer getting it or understanding fashion there has to be levels of it, meaning levels of understanding that can be parallel or a heirarchy of sophistication, and again Porenza Schuler or designers like that who are creating the hi low are indications that the consumer themselves regardless of wealth or status wants and goes for a good cut and a meaningful look.

It’s a brand new world we live in and if designers, editors, or manufacturers ignore this phenonomenon of the consumer knowing more than we think they do, it will be at their own peril. While Poiret may have stuck to his guns or his point of view. It did cost him in the end. As for the fashion world in particular, I would say it will benefit from the eco-conscious world we now live in and disposable fashion will no longer rule the retail agenda.

A succession of Fashion Week shows over the weekend suggested that you’d better put down that muffin, dear. There are a lot of tight leather pants on the horizon. As for the new Alexander Wang, it’s all about a certain urban, nonchalant cool. Or, as the designer likes to say, it’s about the ‘M.O.D.,’ or Model Off-Duty. He won the CFDA Fashion Fund in 2008, an honor accompanied by a $20,000 award to expand one’s business. The female behind is again in the fore of fashion, though skinny models hardly exercise the imagination. They’re like whirling toothpicks.

Although Mr. Wang had some interesting jackets that looked sharply whittled down, with half-open backs, the heavy-handed styling made you not notice them and then finally not care. Parsons dropout Alexander Wang launched his first full women’s collection in 2007. The label embodies casually cool downtown style, drawing inspiration from the eighties, French chic, and rock grunge—always finished with a slouchy rolled-out-of-bed edge.

Wang launched a diffusion line of pre-weathered cotton tees, tanks, and T-shirt dresses in spring 2009, T by Alexander Wang, as well as a footwear collection of towering platform sandals. And leggings with little witch booties. In some respects the collection seemed under the spell of Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy — not only his hard-edged chic but also the way he mentally Photoshops styles from the past into something saleable of his own.

Unlike many other houses that have disappeared behind corporate facades or disappeared altogether, Chanel still sits like a white-gloved lady on the Rue Cambon. Ms. Facchinetti presented a charming, well-received haute couture collection in July. And probably to a great many young tourists who come to take pictures of its famous entrance and the Cassandre-designed logo, the Rue Cambon is Chanel. Well, Alitalia has its problems, but certainly Valentino is a name that resonates beyond a chic little suit scattered with seed pearls.

You also need to recognize what it means in the popular imagination, and then seize it. Today, after it was reported by Women’s Wear Daily that Alessandra Facchinetti would be replaced at Valentino after just one year. But Ms. Facchinetti’s brief career at Valentino, as much the company’s owners poor handling of it, is proof that you need more than deep pockets to preserve a great name.

There are plays on transparency and shine. Wool crepe trousers have a dropped crotch (but are the most flattering of that trendy style). Jackets have a slight kimono look, though Mr. Pilati keeps the volumes from exploding. There are matching bras under sheer, almost iridescent blouses and new, somewhat conceptual versions of the safari jacket, now with a kind of stiff peplum laced to the body of the jacket.

I have more that 20 pair of shoes in all, the ones in the boxroom not included too. There is not more than enough, it is just fair, I think. Among them, five boots, two sneakers and other types. It seems a lot, but when I got some specially party to catch, I found I got no shoes to match my dress. They look outdated. But they are all good designers shoes, most of them were works of the two famous shoes designers I am to intriduce below.

The one is Ralph Lauren, who could possibly be the king of ready-to wear. When anyone mentions Ralph you know they have a deep love for fashion. Ralph Lauren studied business science and even served his time in the army. By following in his footsteps, and having just as much passion for the industry as her brother, Donatella has become know for her sexy yet elegant designs. His shoes was pratical and beatiful.

John Gallitano, the other. He graduated from London’s St. Martins College of Art & Design in 1983, that is a fashion college of high reputation all over the world. With help from friends and loved ones, Galliano put on his first show in 1984. Creating designs with a historical influence, he has worked hard to gain the title of Chief Designer at Givenchy and the House of Christian Dior prize at LVMH. The biggest piont of his shoes is the feel, it feels very good and you could not tell why that good was. You just could not stopped buying them.

It is interesting that many of the biggest fashion makers are named by its founders, and at the same time, the founders were famous designers. Yves Saint Laurent, now known as YSL, who exploded on the fashion scene early in 1958 as the boy-wonder successor to Christian Dior and endured as one of the best-known and most influential couturiers of the second half of the 20th century. Precociously, he entered a design contest while still in his teens and won the attention of Christian Dior, who eventually tapped him to take over his legendary fashion house.

After world war II, everything was becoming better and better. In 1958, shortly after Dior’s death, Saint Laurent, just 21, was credited with saving the moribund house of Dior with his Trapeze line, displaying a daring that would flourish through much of his career. All his career, he devoted himself to fashion design, and made great distribution to the development of the fashion world as well as to his corporation.

YSL did more to advance fashion than any other of his generation pointed the way to the future by consistently reviving the past. His enduring fascination with more gracious or, perhaps, more vital times, informed his refined, theatrical aesthetic and made him the most influential designer of his day. His celebrated fashions of the 60s and the 70s continue to inspire younger generations. He achieved his greatest triumphs in the midst of a turbulent emotional life, giving him mythical stature in his own time. Then, the peak time went away, and our YSL continued his destiny of a designer all through his life. We always remmenber such a fashion pioneer.
